Everywhere I turn, every website I visit, almost everyone’s talking about the movie. I guess I’m the only soul in Malaysia who haven’t watched the movie.

Instead of being sad about it, I searched for the sound that Transformers make when they transform. Here’s the link for the sound if you’re interested. At least I’m cool that way.

If it’s not the Transformers movie, it’s the iPhone. Life’s good.

Last update: Friday, July 20, 2007

After creating your Xbox Live account, I bet you will be hunting for stuff to fill up your Xbox 360 hard drive. However, most of the items available on Live requires Microsoft Points. Xbox Live in Malaysia

While I have only tested this with my ISP, Telekom’s Streamyx, this method works pretty much everywhere. I have entered the configuration below into my router and voila, my NAT’s open.

Port Forwarding

Xbox Live! requires the following ports to be forwarded in order to operate correctly:

  • UDP 88
  • TCP 3074
  • UDP 3074

If you have no idea on port forwarding, you can check out There are step by step instructions for tons of routers, with step by step instructions on how to enable port forwarding.

Too Lazy?

If you’re too lazy to do all the above, just add set your Xbox 360’s IP as the DMZ and you’re done. :)

Apple Confirms Resolution Independence in Leopard

Resolution Independence

Here’s a snippet from the latest email newsletter from Apple:

At the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference, you’ll find developers like Alykhan Jetha of Marketcircle and Apple engineers like David McLeod working together to build the exciting new technologies of Leopard into the next generation of Mac software. For Alykhan, that means he’ll come away with the knowledge he needs to use Quartz and Cocoa to make his products completely resolution independent.

You might ask, how does this affect me as the end user? High density computer monitors will be able to display sharper images and texts. Imagine reading an online newspaper that have text that looks as good as the one you see in a magazine! Will computer screen rival paper printing in the near future? For now, we will just have to wait and see.

You can read more about Resolution Independence from this Wikipedia entry.
