Vibrant Ink for Leopard Terminal

If you’re on Snow Leopard (Mac OS X 10.6), follow the instructions on the following post: Vibrant Ink for Snow Leopard Terminal

Updated: TerminalColors ‘updated’ for 10.5.2 compatibility.

As mentioned on Ciarán Walsh’s Blog, the default blue background that’s being used for Leopard’s terminal is difficult to read on a black background. In order to customize the colors, you will need the SIMBL hack for Leopard’s Terminal.

Here’s a screenshot of how it would look like on your Mac.
Vibrant Ink for Leopard Terminal

1. Download and install the SIMBL plugin on the website. There’s instructions on how to install the SIBML plugin there.

2. Install the TerminalColors hack for Leopard. (Note: For Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard users, download the file below)

3. Install the Vibrant Ink for Leopard Terminal Theme. Download link is in the widget below.

4. Put this in your ~/.bashrc (or ~/.zshrc if you are using ZSH) :
export GREP_OPTIONS='--color=auto'
export CLICOLOR=1;

5. Voilà! You’re done! Your Terminal should look something like the screenshot above! I use Pragmata font in the screenshot above, so feel free to change the font to what you heart desire.

Assassin’s Creed Ringtone

Assassin's Creed LogoIf you have not been living under the rock for the past few months, you should have heard about the new upcoming game from Ubisoft, Assassin’s Creed. Here’s a little background of the game from Wikipedia;

Assassin’s Creed is a video game being developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. It is scheduled to be released in November.The game takes place during the Third Crusade, in the year 1191. The player assumes the role of Altaïr, a member of the Hashshashin sect (the original “assassins”), whose objective is to slay the nine historical figures who are propagating the Crusades. As the player finds and kills these targets, their conspiracy is unveiled. The player will be able to travel through three cities: Jerusalem, Acre and Damascus.

The song

When I saw the trailer for the first time, I knew that I had to have that song on my phone and iPod. After a bit of searching, I figured that the theme song is Lonely Souls by Unkle. I extracted the theme from the trailer and lowered the bit rate. You can download the ringtone for FREE here.

Street Fighter HD

Do you remember the Street Fighter series back in the days? Capcom has announced that an updated version of Super Street Fighter II Turbo will be coming soon to the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade service later in the year. The game, to be called Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix (SFHD), will have fully redrawn artwork, including HD sprites 4.5x the original size, done by artists from UDON.

Capcom have finally posted a couple of screens for SFHD over at the game’s developer blog. It’s a work in progress, but it’s looking real good nevertheless.
