You can’t change region once you created your account.

1 easy way to make sure you’re registered to the right region is by registering for a new account on your console itself. You will have to crete a new account for this though.

If you’re on SG’s machine, which most of us here do anyways, get the card either from lowyat.net, playasia or get any of your friends to purchase it from SIngapore.

If your locale’s US, you will have to create a SG account in order to activate using SG’s card.

I recommend SG’s account as its easier to get points here [Malaysia].

It depends on the region of Xbox Live you’re registered to.

Let’s say you’re playing via Xbox Live SG, you will then have to get the Singapore’s Live cards.

Same goes to US.

i also am planning to get gold, i am using us locale right now but if i get gold should i use singapore’s locale? and is it safe to get it?

i’m a new xbox user…

just would like to know what should i do if i want to play live?

how can i check what region does my xbox live account attached to? – if i’m not mistaken through the tutorial from the above youtube video, my account was set to US region and i can’t change it…

can i change the region setting? if yes then where should i change it?

as for your info, my xbox NTSC-J and software was made in Singapore, so what type of live card should i buy in order to play live?

really need help coz i’m quite blur of what to do to play live…

dear carlos,
1. i’ve got problem during updating software for my x-box 360, i’ve already followed the instruction was given from the x-box official web site,download update software to my flash drive, but when i try to install the software to my x-box, error 3080-xxx-xxx-xx occurred on my screen.. can anybody help me to solve this problem.

2. can anybody told me, how can i update my software manually after i fix this problem..

Here’s a video that someone have posted on youtube that can help you determine the region of your registered account.

They’ve redesigned the site recently, but I don’t think you will have any problem finding your region. Good luck!
